I help companies tell their story through design. Branding, product, strategy, UX. I've been doing this about 15 years now and I still genuinely love it.
Every brand has a story, most just haven't figured out how to tell it yet. I care more about whether something communicates clearly than whether it looks impressive. If people notice the design, it could be getting in the way.
Just me, no team. That's deliberate. You work directly with me, no handoffs, no account managers. I lead the thinking, not the build.
The journey
Grew up in England, studied graphic design in London, started my career there in 2011. Lived in Melbourne for a couple of years working at a retail brand agency. Now I'm based in Asia. I've been lucky to live in some amazing places and each one changed how I think and work.
What I care about
Curiosity and making things that actually matter. I'd rather make something clear than something that wins awards. I'd rather be straight with someone than impressive. Do good work, live well. That's kind of the whole philosophy.
What I do
How I work
Lots of questions at the start, lots of listening. I disappear for a bit, come back with something. Monthly partnerships only because you do way better work when you're properly invested in the business. Clarity over decoration, always.
Outside work
Film cameras, motorcycle, gym, golf, good coffee, eating out with mates. Moved to Asia a few years ago for the culture, food, weather and a different pace of life. No more grey skies.
