Owen Fisher
I help companies make sense of who they are through design. Branding, product, strategy, UX. Fifteen years in and I still genuinely love it.
Most brands know what they do. Fewer know how to communicate it. I care more about whether something communicates clearly than whether it follows the latest trend. If people notice the design, it's probably getting in the way.
Just me, no team. That's deliberate. You work directly with me — no handoffs, no account managers. I lead the thinking, not the build.
Background
I grew up in England, studied graphic design in London and started my career there in 2011. Lived in Melbourne for a couple of years working at a retail brand agency. Now I'm based in Asia. Each place shaped how I think and work in ways I didn't expect.
What I care about
Curiosity first, always. I want to understand a business before I design anything for it. After that, clarity. If the work doesn't communicate, it doesn't matter how good it looks. Keep it honest, keep it useful.
What I do
How I work
It always starts with understanding. I ask a lot of questions, I listen, and I take the time to learn how your business actually works. From there it's collaborative — strategy first, then design. I work on a monthly basis so there's space to think properly and build something with real intention.
Outside work
Outside of work you'll usually find me behind a film camera, on a motorcycle, or at the gym. Golf when I can. I moved to Asia a few years ago and never looked back — the food, the weather, the pace of life. No more grey skies.
wulfsage
The making arm of the business. This is where the client work, the builds, and the experiments happen. This site is personal — a place for people to understand who I am. Everything else lives under wulfsage.
